Basotho cultural village experience

Time in a Basotho home and village, introduced through her own local relationships — not a photo stop.

This isn't a staged cultural show — it's time spent in an actual highland village, made possible by relationships she's built over years of running trips through the area. You're a guest, introduced by someone the family already knows.

A typical visit includes sitting down in a family home, sharing a traditional meal like papa and moroho, and hearing directly from your hosts about daily life on the plateau — herding, farming, and the Basotho blanket traditions still worn every day.

What you see and take part in depends on the village and the season — sometimes it's wool spinning or bread baking, other times it's simply conversation around the fire. It follows the rhythm of the household, not a fixed script.

Respect and consent guide every visit — nothing here is arranged without the family's say-so, and any photography is with their permission first.
