Visa & border crossing
Most nationalities can cross into Lesotho visa-free for short stays — she'll confirm what applies to you and handle the paperwork side of the border crossing.
Currency
Lesotho Loti (LSL), pegged 1:1 to the South African Rand. Rand is accepted everywhere, so no need to exchange money separately.
What to pack
Layers. High altitude means cold nights even in summer, and the mountain weather can turn quickly — pack for both sun and cold.
Health & safety
Lesotho sits entirely above 1,000m, with passes over 3,000m. Take it easy on arrival, stay hydrated, and tell her if you feel unwell.
